What is Reiki?

Reiki is a gentle and effective treatment method that, for example, relieves pain and alleviates tensions, both physically and mentally, reduces stress, increases circulation and well-being, assists with sleep problems, racing thoughts, sciatica, and muscle pain. In other words, the list of areas where Reiki is helpful can be quite extensive. 

It provides treatment on multiple levels simultaneously, such as replenishing the body's energy reserves and increasing circulation, which supports the body's natural healing processes. It also works with the body's subtle energy systems, much like acupuncture and acupressure. Finally, the physical touch activates 'feel-good hormones' in the body, such as oxytocin. kroppens subtila energisystem på samma sätt som exempelvis akupunktur och akupressur. Treats the body as a whole

Many physical ailments have a psychological or emotional cause; pain and tension are often the result of stress, grief, anxiety, and repressed emotions. These eventually create blockages in the body, which, if not addressed, can eventually manifest as physical issues such as pain and stiff muscles. By replenishing energy, increasing circulation, and loosening these blockages that dissolve the tensions and release what once caused them, Reiki helps eliminate the root cause of your symptoms. Reiki till att bli av med grundorsaken till dina symptom.

Reiki is a holistic treatment method that is based on the idea that the body and mind are interconnected. Therefore, it often involves treating the entire body, even if the symptoms are perceived as localized to a specific area.

How can Reiki help you

To begin with, Reiki is energy, and you can't have too much of it. Therefore, you can receive it as often as you like. 

With that said, you can base it on your situation and what you want to achieve from Reiki.

If you want it as a deeply relaxing experience from time to time, my suggestion is that you give your body that opportunity about once a month. Based on how we live today, we seldom give our bodies relaxation and replenishment, so your body will thank you.

If you are experiencing exhaustion or feel like you are heading in that direction, you would likely benefit from receiving Reiki more frequently at the beginning, approximately once a week, to boost your body to a more stable state. Afterward, you can space out the treatments as you start feeling better.

If you are facing a significant physical and/or mental challenge, a treatment can be taken just before and/or after it for maximum benefit. 

A Reiki treatment often feels different from time to time. For example, you may experience your thoughts becoming silent, and everything becomes calm and still, or you may feel sensations like warmth, cold, light, and tingling. But it can also happen that your body makes itself heard through small twitches or stomach gurgling as stagnations begin to move. Finally, a common feeling after a treatment is a bit drowsy but filled with energy.

In Sweden, Reiki is considered stress management and falls under wellness. This applies to both in-person and distance Reiki (since 2020). If you live in another country you need to check your local regulations. Please inform me if your company has any specific requirements regarding the information they want on the receipt.

Of course, receiving Reiki at a distance is just as effective. It provides the same benefits, and many people experience similar sensations as they would during a physical treatment.

For the distance treatment, I would need your home address to know where to send the Reiki. Feel free to lie down or sit comfortably in a quiet place about 10 minutes before the scheduled treatment time. You can light a candle, play soothing music, or do anything else that you find relaxing. At the appointed time, the treatment will commence. All you need to do is relax, and your body will receive the energy.

Just like with physical Reiki, the experience and sensations can vary from time to time. Since you're often deeply relaxed during the treatment, I will send you an SMS when it's complete so you can release that thought. Afterward, you'll have a few minutes to wake up before I give you a call for a brief follow-up over the phone to address any questions or concerns.

You can cancel a meeting up to 24 hours before. If you're unable to attend in person, it's possible to switch to a digital session with shorter notice.  

It's perfectly fine to receive the treatment at a distance even if you're unwell. Reiki supports your body in the healing process.
